Welcome to the Copa Cabana 2009!

August 28th - August 31st

The Copa Cabana Festival of Ultimate is back for another spectacular year. Small changes to the format will be no live band (so far) this year.  This has been replaced by a Rock Band competition.  That's right...the game... "Rock Band"!  Also, we're experimenting with a player fee instead of a team fee.  This is because our 2010 plans involve this so we're having a go.  It really helps with budgeting for scale blah blah blah we hope you will see the benefits on the weekend. Feedback with all changes welcome (to an extent). Crazy ideas always welcome.

The plan for the weekend is below.  We do have aother things in the works but this is what we're got nailed down at the moment.

Friday Night: Arrive, Enjoy the atmosphere. Our clubhouse will also be the off-license this year to no need to stop for beers/ciders on the way.  We'll be selling cans cheap at the bar.  Copa Tent Opens at midnight with DJ Cabana

Saturday: Games, Dress like a Robot, PS2 Rock Band Competition at 9pm .. seejaybee on the decks in the Copa Tent from midnight

Sunday: Games, Dress like your from the future again if you like, Karaoke/Challenge, Copa Tent from midnight with DJ Catapult

Monday: Games, Finals, Early finish and Prizes

Pitches: Two at the Moderns, more at the Meadows

Water: Large bowsers (100+ litres) should be available at the Meadows this year.

Shelter: Fortunately is rarely rains at the Copa.  In the unlikely chance it does be prepared please.  

We're trying to get the council to open the large facility there for us again.
